Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. Her current role is working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She started working for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to converse in two languages led to her obtaining the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. In her position she was able to work with national producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After this she was hired by the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. Then she moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was frequently called upon to be a weather and sports anchor. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She was hired as sports anchor by Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. The same job was held as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins' parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is also a younger sibling. She has an older sister. After a while, her parents separated and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, the young Collins was able to take a job alongside her elder sister. Antonietta still a senior at high school and knew exactly what career path she wanted to pursue. While deciding if Mount Union was right for her, Antonietta visited the university. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the major that she desired. Her studies were completed and she was accepted to the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked for a number of years, was her friend. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
